We are happy to come out of the winter with a couple of fresh news! They are both about the font project Gregoria: it's now finished and just about to be released! You can have an idea of it in the projects section, although the presentation needs to be updated.

Gregoria is an experimental font to digitally translate the "neumatic" musical notation of the Gregorian Chant. The project has been commissioned by the Abbaye Sainte-Madelaine du Barroux in France, initially for internal use but now open for distribution. There's three OpenType fonts to be used on Adobe InDesign, shipped together with a free software developed by students of ENST Bretagne (computer science school), which offer an alternative and intuitive user interface.

Secondly, we are really proud to announce at least that Gregoria itself was awarded at the TDC2 2007 type competition with the "Certificate of Excellence in Type Design". Here are the results of this year:

Elena will give a lecture on the subject at the Typo Berlin this May. Take some coffee or mate tee.
